Stunning

Kate, the wedding and everything about it was absolutely gorgeous!  Its a fairytale I wholeheartedly take part in becuase, lets be honest, I wish I was a princess :)

Loving this picture...but enjoying, perhaps even more, the wee one at the bottom left who really isn't having any more of the noise from the crowd...lol!
Have a fabulous day!

Smell some Sparkle

I've seen this idea with bridal bouquets before and I never get sick of it obviously, because of the sparkle.  The nice thing about this is that you can find some beautiful silk flowers and do it yourself or as a gift for a special family member/friend.  Also, no drying involved, these will definitely last a lifetime.

Pretty girl!

I love weddings for two reasons; first, witnessing the best day of someone's life; second, dressing up!

How about one of these for a guest get-up or a bridesmaid dress?

And for the beautiful bride....metallic fabrics are making it in bridal fashion these days. You may have noticed a preview of this trend here - on our trip to Italy.

Engagement Pt 2.

I LOVE my engagement ring...my husband chose it all on his own. A solitair hunk of beautiful diamond he got made to look like the Tiffany Solitaire :)

When we renew our vows for some milestone anniversary, wouldn't this be wonderful to celebrate that delightful day?????

The answer is.....YES!

Nothing Quite Like It

Nothing sparkles quite like crystal (well, ok, maybe diamonds). Swarovski is one of my favourite retail jewellery stores in the world and I will adorn myself with their jewellery as long as I live.  I wore the ring above on my wedding day and I will cherish it forever.  This was a limited edition ring but they do sell the pink one now.

Of course, all rings and other beautiful Swarovski jewellery can be found at Swarovski.com

Crowning pretty!

Of my many obsessions - I LOVE any thing royal or anything that has to do with crowns!

"Let Them Eat Cake!"

A term taken out of context at the time, there is no proof as to whether or not Marie Antoinette, Queen of France, really did make that comment.  They say the line was said in response to French proletariat who asked The Crown what they should eat in the midst of a bread famine in the 1760's.[1]

My favourite portrayal of Marie Antoinette is in Sofia Coppola's version (which I can never get enough of).  Although a misconception, Marie is portrayed as a gluttonous woman. The truth of the matter is that she actually was said to have been quite generous to the poor and even cut back her staff during her reign to show frugality to the citizens of France.

Either way, "Let them eat cake" truly coins Marie Antoinette, Queen of France, as the epitome of indulgence, decadence and, well, desserts!

Take a look at this video from BabyCherie Sweets blog:

I Want Candy - Bow Wow Wow - Marie Antoinette Video

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

In fact, I love Marie Antoinette ad her lifestyle so much that I themed our wedding after her (with a few alterations of course):

The decor...

The feathers.....
The dessert.....

And, of course, the CAKE.......

My cake was made by the fabulous Diana Shin at Papillon Cakes.  Here are some more of her wonderful creations....

Until next time,

First post

So, I started a blog about six years ago and lost my interest -- school and other items on my forever "to-do-list" always took priority.

I realize now how I loved to blog --so much better than the overbearing, invasive Facebook or MySpace has over my personal life.
The purpose of this blog will be to highlight everything about, well, "life"! And because this is a site about life...It will reflect some of the current stages in MY life.
So, I'm getting married May 9th of this year (oh dear, so close). For the last year and three months, I have been inundated with wedding planning, wedding researching, wedding decisions, wedding politics wedding tears, wedding stress, wedding joy, wedding love, wedding shoes, dress, bridesmaids, parties, showers and so on! Look forward to all things wedding.
Other than that....I have a few other things up my "life" sleeve. You can expect tips on better living, healthy lifestyles and even how you can make your life quite frankly, prettier.
ENJOY!
